M-1 For Veterans Snowflakes
Match
January 24, 2009
14 shooters braved the challenging weather conditions in an effort
to raise funds for the M1's for disabled veterans program. Seven of
our club members who did not shoot, came as observers, and donated to
this worthwhile and noble cause. They are as follows: Steve Rodvold
$65.00, Rick Schweinberg $20.00, Don Kreidler $20.00, Alex Pocs $20.00,
Gary Proy $15.00, and Marie & Neil Casper $30.00. Thanks for your
generosity!
Tom Taylor and Ken Pelatier did a great job preparing the range by
removing the deep snow from the firing line. They also cleared a path
to the targets to create easy access for target maintenance. Thanks
guys for a job well done! Thanks to the two of you, we were able to
recover our prized empty cases!
Bernie Bong did a lot of ground work in making this match run smoothly.
He solicited contributions from Gander Mountain, which were passed out
as door prizes. Keith Rodvold and Gabe Wasiniak each received a can
of reloading powder and the rest of the competitors and donors received
Gander Mountain cash certificates and several hats were passed out.
Bernie took some great photographs of the event which we hope to post
on the club website and put on display in the clubhouse. Thanks for
the wonderful photographs Bernie!
I also need to thank Bob Burmeister for running the line in a safe
and efficient fashion. Thanks for your expertise!
We all appreciate the support and prizes donated by Gander Mountain;
let's keep them in mind when shopping!
