August 18, 2012: Andrew Dunn Law Enforcement Challenge
Past Events:
Andrew Dunn Law Enforcement Challenge: The Andrew Dunn Law Enforcement Challenge was held at the club on September 7, 2011. This was a tactical 3 gun style match (Handgun, Tac rifle, and Tac shotgun) for local law enforcement officers, with proceeds benefitting the Dunn Family. 45 Officers from 14 departments competed, including Andrew Dunn’s father, Matt, competing on the Sandusky PD team. Many spectators and fans turned out as well.
Awards were given for Top Shot in Handgun, Rifle, Shotgun, Best 3 Gun Overall, and Top Department. Local and national sponsors stepped up to make the event a financial success, and many, many club members helped with prep, setup, working as range officers, running the event, food prep and sales, and cleanup.
Thanks to everyone who helped to make this event a classy, professional event that the club can be proud of. Our reputation as a good citizen of the community was front and center, and all of the local PD’s had great things to say about the club and the event. Over $3600 was raised and presented to Mrs. Dunn at the Oct. meeting.
Event T shirts are still available at the meetings.

M1 for Vets is a non-profit organization dedicated to financial and logistical support of returning Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and the Global War on Terror (GWT) "Transitioning Combat Wounded Veterans" for the purpose of competing in national shooting sports.
The goal is to give transitioning combat wounded veterans an opportunity to get back on the rifle range to participate in shooting competitions. M1 for Vets will make logistical arrangements and work with them to make the adjustments that are necessary to achieve a stable firing position. These are tough young men and women who quickly adapt and are able to overcome difficulties. http://www.m1forvets.com.
