300-Yard Match Results
September 1, 2007
Our first official 300-yard match was graced
with fine weather. 13 participants fired a total
of 17 matches with some very impressive scores
being logged. There was an assortment of rifles
in the contest ranging from vintage military styles
to popular commercial offerings. The largest caliber
I noted in the contest was a 300 W.S.M. and the
ubiquitous 223 Remington was the smallest caliber
in the contest. We utilized the 200 yard high
power target for this match.
I would like to encourage our members to bring
your favorite rifle with 30 rounds of accurate
ammunition to our next match. Once you try it,
you'll be hooked.
Congratulations to one and all! We had a thoroughly
enjoyable time and wish to extend an invitation
to all the interested shooters in the club and
guests to attend our next 300 yard match which
I hope to conduct soon. Keep checking the web
site for details.
