Action Pistol - June 2007

Wow! What a great day and great turn out for June! We had 23 shooters this month, and although some of our regulars could not make it, we had quite a few new shooters this month.

I broke loose with a little high power action to try to develop an interest in 3-gun matches, thus having shooters begin by firing 3 rounds out of an AR 15, then transitioning to their handgun to finish the course. It was fun! I even took a percentage of total points down off the shooters' total score for good rifle shooting so it was meaningful after all.

We went over the range rules since we had some new shooters and ensured everyone had a safety briefing before we fired. I am happy to say we had no safety violations.

The June scores can be found here and they have been posted at the club house and forwarded to those providing an e-mail address. They will also be in the next newsletter.
