10 minute sighting in period with unlimited sighting
shots. At the conclusion of the sighting-in period,
targets will be returned to the firing line by the
designated range crew and will be reviewed by the
competitors for a 3 minute period.
After all targets have been reviewed,
competitors will be called to the line for a 3 minute
preparation period. During this time, shooters will
take their assigned positions on the firing line,
adjust their equipment and ready themselves for
the match.
The match will consist of 20 record
shots in a 20 minute time period. Firing will commence
and cease at the command of the line officer. Anyone
observing an unsafe condition MUST call a CEASE
FIRE immediately. If a competitor completes the
course of fire before time elapses, he/she may insert
an open bolt indicator in the empty chamber and
remove the rifle from the line. When time elapses,
the line officer will call for a cease fire and
all firing will stop, actions will be left open
and an open bolt indicator will be inserted in the
empty chamber. When the line is declared to be safe,
the assigned target crew will retrieve the targets
for scoring. Once the target crew returns from the
pits, competitors will remove their equipment from
the firing line and the next relay will move their
equipment to the firing line being careful not to
handle their rifle. All targets will become the
property of the shooters after being scored. It
is the responsibility of the competitor to double
check his score and file a challenge if an error
in scoring is observed.
