ECCL Clubhouse

Welcome

ECCL LogoThe Erie County Conservation League is located at 815 Mason Road, east of Route 250 in Erie County, Ohio.

Our mailing address is: P.O. Box 476, Sandusky, OH 44871-0476

Our facilities include trap and skeet ranges; an archery range; and 25, 50, 100, 200, and 300 yard rifle ranges.

All shooting must stop before sunset. No shots to be fired after sunset. (Check sunset times here.)

What's happening:

Notice: Due to the misuse of the following range rule;  “ALL FIRING SHALL BE DELIBERATE AND CONTROLLED”, the following will be implemented immediately and will be enforced by ALL RSO’s:

“The use of any device installed on a firearm with the intention of converting that firearm from semi-automatic fire to automatic or burst fire capability is strictly prohibited at ECCL.  This includes, but is not limited to, bump stocks, slide stocks, Hellfire trigger adapters, trigger cranks, etc.”

This rule is in place for your safety, especially the deliberate and controlled portion. Any firing of a rifle or pistol not controlled and deliberate can potentially send rounds out of our range area or cause a potential mishap which can shut down our facility. This will apply to all ECCL members.

Also: The following will be implemented immediately and will be enforced by ALL RSO’s. "All firing on the 100, 200, and 300 yard ranges WILL BE FROM THE COVERED FIRING LINE". This means that no one is allowed to walk down closer to the targets to shoot at them.

New Action Shooting Event: The board has approved a new action shooting event that will take place two times a month starting in June. The events will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday night of each month. See the Action Shooting page for more information.

NRA Bullseye Shoot: ECCL now sponsors a NRA Bullseye Shoot. A NRA-sanctioned bullseye match is a three-gun affair that requires you to shoot identical 90 shot courses of fire with each gun. Gun one must be a .22 rimfire pistol or revolver, gun two must be a centerfire pistol or revolver of .32 caliber or larger, and gun three must be a .45 caliber pistol or revolver. See the Action Shooting page for the schedule.

Action Shooting Video: Derek Lundy provided a compilation video of the May 11, 2013, Action shooting event. It's well done and provides a feel for what the competition encompasses.

Women's Shooting and Training Program: If you are new to shooting or have some experience we welcome your participation. Meetings are held on the FIRST and THIRD Tuesdays of the month, from May through October,.at 5:30 PM in the clubhouse (see the calendar for dates). Our activities will largely depend on how many participants we have and what experience level you bring to the class. If you are planning to attend please let us know by sending and e-mail to Wactionpistol@gmail.com.

ECCL Highlights Video: Don Kreidler has provided an ECCL Highlights Video which is now on the About Us page. View ECCL Highlights Video.

Why was this done? Damage was done to the 100 yard range some time on Sunday October 21st. Somebody decided that shooting at something on the ground was acceptable. This is not acceptable from anyone! The range rules clearly state that the targets MUST BE ON THE NETTING and the targets MUST BE PAPER! Read More.

Youth Field Day: ECCL's Youth Field Day will be on Saturday, June 22, 2013. Click here for the Youth Field Day registration form and liability release form.

Stein Hospice Trap & Skeet Shoot: ECCL will host the Stein Hospice Trap & Skeet shoot on Sunday, June 23, 2013. All proceeds will be donated to the Stein Hospice Service who serves the terminally ill in our area.
